Beard dyeing at the G-cutz barber shop

Every man wants a uniform and lush beard, but in many cases this is not the case. You either have to deal with grey hairs, different shades of colour or bald patches, all of which can be a serious headache. If one experiences them as an optical error and does not want to live with them, one can easily do something about it. Beard dyeing is a painless and quick solution that, in addition to being permanent, provides a solution for all of these phenomena! With us, you don’t have to worry about looking like you’ve been photoshopped. We only paint beards with a natural effect. Our paints are high quality, skin-friendly paints that won’t irritate your skin or damage your hair!

Misconceptions about beard dyeing

Many people are very much against beard dyeing, which is understandable in a way. We’ve also come across a lot of botched, downright horrible beard tints that we wouldn’t have agreed to do. But as soon as you come across a natural-looking beard dye job, where all you notice is how beautiful and uniform the beard is, but not a single trace of dye is visible, everyone wants it. A good beard dye is very impressive, but you need a professional barber!

What is beard dyeing good for?

Beard dyeing perfectly conceals grey hairs, optically helps to cover up bald patches and gives a fuller and more plumped look. It’s also a good solution if someone has a patchy beard and you want to help. The most important thing is to leave your beard in the hands of someone who knows what they’re doing, who uses a dye that won’t damage your beard and will give a natural look. In this case, you can’t go wrong and you’re sure to be satisfied!

Can I dye my beard at home?

Of course, but we do not recommend it. Mainly because the beard dyes available in the shops are of much lower quality than the ones we use, and this becomes apparent after a while. After a while, store-bought dyes will start to creep into a reddish hue, which will certainly happen on your beard. The result will not be a natural-looking colour and coverage, but a blurred, illusory effect. We strongly recommend that you find a professional barber for this job.

Beard dyeing for yourself

Beard dyeing at the G-cutz barber shop

In our shop we only do natural beard tinting, we want to make that clear from the beginning! You don’t have to worry about any possible false results, we only strive for the best! Our dyes are high quality, gentle on the skin and do not damage the beard!

The first step is always to tidy up your beard. First, we use a machine to smooth the length of your beard, then we apply shaving cream or gel and use a blade to smooth the beard line and edges. The neckline is formed and also tidied up. Once you’ve done that, wash off the cream or gel and wipe your beard clean with a cloth. Then mix the dye and apply it to your beard. The time the dye stays on your beard is 5-15 minutes, depending on your beard and the desired result. When the time is up, wash off the paint and use an alcohol wipe to wipe over the stronger areas and smooth the contours. When you’re done, apply after shave to the shaved area and moisturise your beard with beard oil.

How often should I get my beard tinted?

Beard tinting is a permanent process, so x doesn’t wear out or just disappear. At the same rate as your beard grows, the dyed beard starts to grow and the unpainted parts start to appear. For this reason, it is worth repeating the beard tinting after about 4 weeks, so that the whole, entire beard is again uniform in colour and no ingrown hairs are visible. This 4 weeks is of course not set in stone, some people grow their beards faster, for them it can be 3 weeks. After the first painting, you’ll have a good idea of the time needed for you, after which you should definitely repeat the painting.

Beard dyeing with dye

A dyed beard needs careful care

Because beard dyeing is a chemical process, it takes a toll on your beard over the long term. It’s important that it doesn’t damage your facial hair, because you’re using a dye that will definitely put a strain on it. That’s why it’s important to look after it and take the necessary care steps regularly. This will keep your beard conditioned and hydrated.

  • Use a 100% boar bristle beard brush 3 times a week. Gently massage it over your beard and under the hairs on your face. This way you can avoid ingrown hairs and dandruff.
  • Wash your beard 2-3 times a week with a beard shampoo, rinse with water on the other days if necessary to avoid drying out your facial skin and hair. Be sure to use a beard shampoo specifically for coloured beards! It contains many more active ingredients that help to maintain the condition of your skin.
  • Use beard oil, preferably every day. Massage well into your beard, making sure you get some on your face. This will help keep your beard hydrated, while also softening the hairs.
