The basic requirement is that all our hairdressers have a professional qualification. But we look at much more than that. It’s not enough to have a good hairstyle to make a guest feel really good. Before that, you will spend about 30 minutes in the salon, during which time, if you feel uncomfortable, even if your hair is good, you may not leave with a good feeling.

It is very important for us to create a good atmosphere. It puts our barbers and our guests in a much better mood, which creates a great foundation, especially if you are a first-timer to the salon with no prior knowledge. Our barbers are good heads, good conversationalists and, most importantly, humble and extremely helpful. These qualities are essential when dealing with a professional hairdresser.

No hurry

One of the biggest mistakes we see are promises or marketing ploys that tout a quick haircut. At first glance, this seems like a good idea, because who isn’t in a hurry these days, but if you think about it, how can you get the perfect haircut in 5 minutes? Even if it’s just a quick, one-length haircut, you still need at least 10 minutes, especially if you’re washing and drying. Not to mention if you’re a fan of transitions, or maybe the king of fades.

Time is very important here, and everyone deserves it! For each haircut, we count 30 minutes, which may be less if it’s a simpler haircut, but the point is to take your time and not rush it. We pay attention to every detail to ensure that every millimetre of your head is cut precisely. This is one of the greatest secrets of perfection. The patience and time you do have to put into your hair. So, a word of advice, if they advertise that they can give you a perfect haircut in 5 minutes, don’t fall for it, because you could easily end up disappointed.

Formal world, or theoretical knowledge

As mentioned above, it’s not enough to be hands-on with your haircut. What happens when a customer walks in and is stumped because they can’t decide what haircut they want, but they want something new and something cool. We poke at something and then it becomes what it becomes? No!

Every face shape has its own unique characteristics, just like every hair texture. Not every hairstyle looks good on a round or heart-shaped face, and we need to be aware of that. Some guests do the usual, but we usually don’t interfere. However, some people come to us with a specific idea, but we know that what the guest wants will not look as good as what they have shown in the picture. Either because the shape of her head is not right for her, or because of her hair texture. We usually note that there are better alternatives, or point out how the outcome will be different if you stick to the one you have in mind. And if you come to us without an idea, we’ll help you find the perfect shape and length that best suits your face shape and hair texture.

Hair wash

Once you’ve decided on the hairstyle you want, it’s time for a haircut. Before you do, however, you can request a pre-cut hair wash. Not everyone takes advantage of this, but it’s good to know you have the option, because it’s part of the price.

Haircut

After washing or not washing your hair, we’ll get to work on your hairstyle as you decide. In most cases, we use a clipper and scissors, depending on the hairstyle you have chosen. Once you’re done with your hairstyle, the nape of the neck is cleaned with a razor if necessary. This is a very important step, as it is an integral part of your hairstyle. Even if you can’t see behind you, everyone else can, and it’s important that the overall image is sophisticated.

Hair wash

You also have the option to request a hair wash after your haircut. Many people like this because the cut hairs don’t fall off completely, but washing the hair removes them well. If you don’t want it, you don’t have to use it, but you can!

Drying

Once you’ve decided to wash your hair, it’s time to blow dry or blow dry, depending on your hairstyle. A pompadour will benefit from drying, but a faux hawk will only need one drying.
